No - only one car. Each team only had one transponder each. As one car finished a session, the team would have to quickly bring it in, change the transponder over and then send the fresh car out. With the Nitro cars, this was quite interesting as Nitro cars also have to be fueled, warmed etc and NOT stalled whilst waiting in the pit lane to go out.
