No modification needed. Just plug and play.
To do this properly you need to be using 50mm Xray rear driveshafts, and Xray blades otherwise the standard driveshaft would wobble around a lot inside the outdrive. The ball end is much bigger on a xray driveshaft even though the blade diameter is the same.
