I tried a 2S setup with a SC4X motor in 5.5 on a lightened 808 that weighted 6,6Ibs. This was a 550 can 2 pole motor which had just been released at this time. I lacked of torque but I would say the last Pro4 or a 1415 would be perfect. I prefer higher voltage setups generally but for indoor application it would be more than enogh power for the EB48. I would like to see a 2700kv 4 pole short course motor in this buggy with a 3S lipo or a 4000kv in 2s.

This said the difference in weight is not massive comparing a 1400kv in 5S setup for example.
I use a 298g lipo and get 12 minutes runtime of it in 5S. The T8 4030 weight 341g. So this is 639g

I don't know how much mah you would need to get 12 minutes in 2S in a 1/8 but the system would need way more amps than in 5S so the lipo would weight about the same. A 1415 weights 301g. The difference would be much higher with a Pro 4 that is 100g less.. This is just to say that there will be a limit for outdoor tracks. A mmp and T8 4030 motor makes the car already very light. Testings testings..
