I copied some of the local pros and use the shorty with a 1/2 pad up front, and a cut down SC10 pad in the rear. Some guys put a 1/4oz of weight in front of the receiver and that's it. Oh ya and the ballast weight in the rear. That's all no other weight. My car is very balanced and jumps perfectly. I use Losi BB springs. Red front, white rear. Best set up I have had yet. I really like the way it handles. Very controlled. I run a 13.5, and the track is either SRS or Glitch in AZ. All I do is change springs and tires to accommodate each track.
