The stock ball cups are NOT weak. every time I try shaving my rear c plate & let my 8yr old run it he breaks the c plate. he even broke one that I didnt shave! so, no, I see no problem with weak stock ball cups, as a matter of fact I would MUCH rather have had 4 ball cups pop than to have gone through 4 c plates for my son!
