Solder the wire to the led, shape acrylic to fit in the slot of the wing, drill out acrylic for LED, insert led to acrylic block, wedge into wing, route wire to receiver. I used my vinyl cutter to produce a piece of vinyl with the grid of multiple holes for the light to shine through. Done. I should add that this was done for under $7.00.

If I can't get a piece of acrylic would maybe a clear piece of scrap lexan might work just as good?
