Does the antenna mast really have to be used? I just kind of coil (not tightly) my receiver antenna wire and lay it next to the receiver. I have never had a problem.
I'm using an old FM rx with the long antenna. I used the stock antenna tube but I wire tied the top of the tube to the body post mount in the front of the truck. This keeps it from going through the body and the reception is still good.
