For those that have went back into there shocks and found it a little tough to remove the spacer between the x-rings inside the seal cartridge, I have a little tip that might help. Use the anodized pin that passes through lower shock eyelet and control arm to pass through spacer and grab top side of it to remove. This seemed to work well after struggling to find something to pull spacer out of cartridge due to its slight interference fit. Try it out next time you service your shocks.
