Right, if the car you're looking at is a TT01, it'll be a good beginner's car, but there are better ones to start with, imo. A couple of good examples I think make GREAT beginner cars that can also improve as your skills improve, is this one: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58472 , & this one: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58506 .
They may cost a bit more than the TT01 based cars, but they're DEFINTELY worth it, with some hop ups, they can run with the best of the best....

Oh, & don't be alarmed by the price you see on Tamiya's website, those are the retail prices, the street price is MUCH better...
