Without the Hotwire, you get both, there are the 5 preset profiles and the 2 custom profiles that you set earlier. You don't need the Hotwire to access any of these. Just go to the TP value on the ESC. LEDs 1-5 are preset and 6 and 7 are custom boost profiles. For the most part, all stock (10.5 and slower) motors run similar profiles. Boost starting around 3k and ramping to max around 20-30k. I usually run a boost value of 60-85%. Beyond your 2 custom profiles you only need the Hotwire to set the "feel" of your ESC.
