Of course it's legal for 12th racing
What is your rollout
The kit springs are heavy, both side & center, no reason to go up on spring rate
Diff should ALWAYS be locked, and smooth with 12th scale
If the car is pushing, try the option front tires
My question on legality was just around dimensions, I haven't been in the US long and have never run 12th!! (I'm offroad normally)
Not sure on rollout, haven't measured yet, but was on option tyres all round and std spur, tried 19 and 23 on pinion, felt like 21/22 would be best. It is a short carpet track, with generally long (double apex) fast corners leading into tight corners, so no brake use, just using the corner to scrub off speed.
I probably had my diff to loose actually then, and should lock it up more.
What's the best way of clamping the rear axle, I find it binds if there's no play, but also moves a bit during the run as it has more play after...is it best to
Clamp with a tiny amount of play and just clamp it down really really hard? Feels like it may strip the thread!
