it depends if you mean fast, in regards to lap times. i race indoor carpet, and the track is very tight, with high grip. the shaft cars r at a distinct disadvantage. the belt cars seem to maintain speed through turns. when the pro 4 came out everyone switched to it, but that didn't last long. the common thought between al of us was that shaft is meant for paved outdoor tracks. there it was faster, but then again it all comes down to driver, driver ,driver, oh and set up has just a little to do with it.
