This is surprising to me as well. Maybe its your servo? I am using a RadioPost Multi (green) and I had the stock ackerman 3 steering bar on and it turned way tight. I just recently switched to the ackerman 2 for less aggressive steering.
I think your the first person I've read on this thread that wasn't getting tight steering.

Also be sure and check those 4 plastic shims in the steering blocks. Mine were to thick and I took 2 of them out. As well I did have to sand down the shoulder on the steering posts a little to get really smooth and fast steering.
