One could argue that Losi doesn't have a 4wd buggy - period. Evans won the Spectrum race with a brand new (but still 15 year old) XX-4. Next year is an IFMAR worlds year, and Losi has a new 4wd coming.

Kory is no sap, neither is Max. Likewise, Valentino Rossi didn't forget how to ride a motorcycle from 2010 to 2011, although that crap Ducati he rides might make it easy to think he did.
