Default Waterproofing Electrics

Hi All

Looking to build up a wet car for the coming outdoor season and just wondering what peoples opinions are on how to do this. After doing a bit of research i have narrowed it down to two options;

1. Pastidip for receiver and esc (then some silicone or bluetak around the sensor board on the motor)

2. A receiver box (and same option as above for the motor)

I will be running a futaba servo and understand this is reasonably well protected anyway, so will probably do nothing on this.

At the moment i am leaning towards the Palstidip option, as i feel more confident i will be able to do this well (worried about water getting into a receiver box.

Has anyone any experience of using the plastidip, does this really work or should i just go with the receiver box idea.

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions greatly appreciated
