If i remember correctly, i ran a stiffer setup (springs) on my RCGT chassis when i switched it from VTA. We used the HPI Pro X-Pattern tires and they had more grip than the D-Compound VTA tires.

You might find the wing on the back of your USGT body will change some of your handling characteristics as well.
