Errr...my CGM tend to be on the noisy side...I've noticed TC3 and pro4 at my local track and they're not that noisy. I've also noticed some local boys here with SD and theirs are not quite that noisy too...asked them but not sharing 
Any clues boys ? shimming the gears ?

Well I've found that even on the bench it makes a lot of noise due to the sloppy fit of the dogbone ball end in the outdrive so I got the insulation off some 14 gauge motor wire and cut very thin rings approx 7/20th of a mm thick and put then on the dogbone pins to stop them rattling.

Oh and the kit shimming when used with a silver can 540 motor and the kit is new...I don't think so I actually want the diffs to be able to move. The kit shimming literally stoped mine even by hand turning.
