Get the saddle mont from rxshox, it uses velcro. Takes seconds to swap out batteries. The velcro holds them in good, ive tumbled hard and they stayed in.
With my Exotek chassis, I use the B44.1 posts, thumbscrews and set screws (I don't know why those thumbscrews are so darned expensive!
) A local guy Dan, who owns rccarbonworks.com made me the top straps and the chassis battery holders, based on the B44.1.
I use a Protek 4200mAh 30C saddle pack. I can easily remove and install my batteries. I haven't tried the thicker packs yet as we only run 5-minute qualifiers and mains. I rarely use half of my packs with my RX8 & Pro4 4000kV. If I start running on bigger tracks with longer mains, I'd most likely need to look at the Gens Ace 6000mAh packs with higher C ratings.
