If you look really closely, the tray just barley contacts the chassis brace. Just Dremel down that little corner of the tray, it should alleviate your issue. Personally, I went with aluminum chassis braces front and rear, a BCE chassis, SS screw kit, and DE bumper/skid plates. As others have said, this buggy handles great. Better than my Mugen. But in the durability department, out of the box, Mugen blows Associated out of the water!
