If it is the older larger big red ones that had 3 ears (not the new MyLaps version), they are repairable... sorta.

If you are good with a soldering iron & comfortable with surgery then you'll likely have no problem

If you look at the case where the wires go in the back area, it has a seam or line all the way around the main case. That's the cap, it is glued in & you'll need to get an Xacto or blade around there to pry/cut the glue loose.

Once the back cap is off, the ones I've fixed had the leads still coming off of the board. it is just a matter of soldering onto the tails that are left & fitting the cap back on.
The tails will have to be small, & solder joints tidy.
They will fit under the cap if done right.

The main board is sealed & not easy to get to with out really butchering every thing.
Hopefully there is something left to solder to.
