Went to the gear chart. Clicked T4.1, then my motor, then show both... But then I got an "load error" message.

Is there any good reason to change the 87t spur gear?

On the second run of my life with my new T4 I ran it through a couple puddles. It quit working. Researched. Decided I probably fried the esc and/or motor. Called team associated and they were really cool. Told me to mail them in and they'll fix/or replace them. BUT WHEN I opened up the cover to the gears I found an shredded Spur Gear... Completely destroyed. This was the stock RTR T4.1.

So, if there was ever a better time to change the spur gear... It'd be now.
