the rear spring rates are lower than the fronts. Putting "front" springs on the rear means you are using a higher spring rate on the rear that what normally would be used.

It doesn't affect the front spring rate.

So for example:

5.0lbs on Front 3 lbs on rear (just using as an example)

Now

5.0lbs on Front 5.0lbs on rear
