WC, you are making some pretty broad statements. No one setup could EVER work for everyone. All drivers tend to take a different approach and have different styles. Some like super responsive steering....others turn theirs down. Some love to drive tail out....others will drive through the turns.
As for set-up experience on Ryan and Cody....of course they do. They eat live and breathe RC Racing. They also have TONS of Track Time. Its what they DO.
If a world class driver with a killer set-up were to hand me his car and tell me to drive it I could NEVER, ever come close to his or her level. Most people couldnt.
That being said, having a basic starting point is important. BUT, no two drivers are alike in how they prefer the "feel" of their vehicle.
Broad Strokes on my part? YES...I need to sleep at the track. Too bad the "real world" gets in the way of that. I have to settle for having fun....after all is said and done, I thought that this is what its all about.
