Does it help with leaking to put grease on the ring gear where it meets the cup? Does it matter what "grit" sand paper I use for sanding the cup? Greasing the outdrive means putting AE Black Grease on the small o-ring on the outdrive. It doesn't take much - just enough to cover the o-ring and fill the tiny gap between the o-ring and the step that's machined into the outdrive where the o-ring goes.
