Guys, it turns out that even though the auction showed a picture of the Gen 1 engine, the package I received did in fact contain a Gen 2 engine.
I'm thinking this seller should update his pictures, so that people are not avoiding his auctions for this reason!

So from dispair I have instead moved on to joy, just goes to show you should never assume the worst lol!!!!
