Any thin CA glue/Super glue will work.
I think the new shoe is a little harder material and a smaller hole for the set screw to make it tighter to put in.
Always use the set screw, even for sedan. I do just to make the shoes last longer. I can usually go a full season on just 1 set of shoes if you use the set screws.
