True, but not everyone who uses a stick pack puts it in a play car. Tamiya's F201 and Mini class cars both have to use stick packs. Those of us who race these cars seriously have had to come up with ways to manage our cells and circumvent the voltage loss- which as you point out can be quite sizeable.
It would be nice if someone like ProMatch could do this...
