In my opinion what really hurt the hobby were the LiPo manufacturers who immediately obsoleted a bunch of older cars because the new batteries wouldn't fit. I'm really excited about the "Shorty" packs since for the first time I can pull a few of the older cars off the shelf and have a LiPo that will fit. My only problem has been finding one for a reasonable price. I'm sorry, but I refuse to pay $100 for a battery.
