That is true for the spec rotors. Spec rotors have a 7.25mm shaft through the center of the magnets. The mod rotors have a 5mm shaft through the magnets. So with the 11.5mm mod rotor there is actually more magnet material than a 12.5 spec rotor. That is why I am wondering what kind of effect there would be running more magnet and less airgap.
If you try one let us know how it worked, the classes I have been running we are not allowed. But in offroad I can.
Honestly I would opt for the horsepower over rpm. Besides there is a lot you can do with the MMP.
