Its pretty simple. If you take the riser plate off and hit the front of the car on the track you will break your chassis. The forward front arm mounts will rip out of the chassis. To stop this from happening cut the riser plate into a strap to tie together the tops of the forward front arm mounts. Now it strengthens the chassis just like if it were mounted in the stock position but now you can lower you roll centers for carpet.
