Last time I cut out what was too much and put it in with some green slime and no leakage.
But as said before some team drivers dont use the o-ring at all. Also heard that sometimes 2 gaskets are used.
One gasket is fine, I don't use the o rings, if anything, they create more chance of leakage as they are easy to catch when fitting the two parts together. All i use is silicone grease and the green gasket.....never leaks!
