I just picked up a B4.1 WC and I’m adding the hex conversion right off the bat. I couldn’t find any real instructions online so I figured I’d ask here. The stock spindle requires 2 .30 shims to space it in the hub carrier. The SC10 spindle is much larger, but I’m not sure if I’m supposed to add a spacer at all. Can anyone clarify this for me?

The steering spindle for the hex conversion takes "no" spacers as it takes up the whole space inside the caster block. If one wanted to raise or lower the hex steering block, you would have to shave the top or bottom of the steering block to be able to space it up or down.
