the Tamiyas all go together perfectly, if you follow the directions. The best kits available.
the American made kits have been another story. I assembled a Associated TC3 when the first came out and it took over 8 hours including painting and trimming. body and tires were not included! All the plastic and fiber reinforce parts had flash and tolerances were marginal. A lot of sanding, filing and reaming was required to get them to fit perfectly. I don't think the newer Kits from Associated nor Losi are much better. Someone can correct me if I am wrong! Heh! Or even try a pan car,

I think all of the pro build on-road kits would be a challenge to build even if the parts fit perfecty, such as with the Tamiya. you have to assemble each shock, differential, cvd, arms, chassis and paint and cut out the body.
They are expensive, complex but very fine racing cars.

I like the assembly too, and really enjoyed the build, unless I had a big race the next day.
