I haven't seen anyone mention this, but there is a running event scheduled at lake Park the same morning with a start time of 8am. Could be quite the cluster f*** as it looks like the running path goes right past the track with the start finish line at the horse track area. Here's the info link:

I'm not a Lake Park regular, so maybe this sort of thing is normal? Either way, the first run starts at 8am so the gates will probably be open before that.
