I visually watch until the hub hits a stop lock point or the rack assembly stops moving.
I watch the hubs first.
I'll then add +3 to +5 or lock tension.
I'll then dial down the dual rate D/R till I barely have enough or it isn't twitchy.
If I need it all, then Expo curves come in a little more.
This is provided you go through a check list in order...
Servo centered. (horn on & then sub trim adjusted)
Rack centered. (adjust the linkage not the servo)
Make the car go strait, by adjusting the last set of linkges.
Then set endpoints.
Why turn it up, and then back down?
