Default Spectra Module out of tune?

this is what my work order said once I got my radio back from Hitec after I had sent it in for glitching problems. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. How does the Spectra module fall out of tune? Its not like the transmitter is being shaken around in my hands or gets knocked around... why would this component just decide to break? How often should I expect something like this to happen? When I sent in my radio for this problem I asked these same questions but received no answers. It was very upseting that this randomly happened to me since It completely ruined my time at the Kyosho Challenge this summer. I only get a chance to go to one big race a year (if that) and the last thing I expect to give me problems is my transmitter. Especially one that isn't even a year old. I hope someone from Hitec can answer my question here since right now I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I REALLY do not want to give up my CRX. It is by far and away the most comfortable radio I have ever used and easy to set up, but I prefer something that works over something that doesn't. I don't want to wait for the next time this radio falls "out of tune" during another important event. I know for sure I am done with synthesized operation. The out of tune spectra coupled with Novak's garbage XXtra receiver (3 of these have gone bad on me) is a bad combination..... I was thinking of just replacing all my XXtras with the DCX receiver, but this of course doesn't assure me that the Spectra wont continue giving me problems. Should I keep the Spectra and CRX? Was this problem very uncommon? Or should I change the transmitter as well over to crystal control.... can the crystal module fall out of tune as well?
Lastly, if I do decide to change transmitters, does the HFS-03MM work with Futaba's new 3PM transmitter?
