That depends a lot on the track and your driving style. If it's a smooth track with a blue-groove surface or carpet for example you'd probably find a stiff rear bar (and a front possibly) will help out.

Take a look at setup's of what the other 1/10 4WD guys are running at your track for a start on your own personal setup.

Personally I usually always have a rear on and depending on the situation will run a front (my carpet queen always has a front and rear on for example).
