Aside from the springs rubbing there are other benefits to the BB springs. Since they are a larger diameter, for a similar spring rate the willingness for the spring to buckle reduces substantially, and therefor decreases any side loading that would be imparted onto the shock (also causes the rubbing). This side loading increases shock shaft drag and reduces the amount of force being transferred to the tire. A lower force (downward), especially when cornering decreases tire grip. Both of the Ryans feel that our standard shock creates more side-bite than a BB, at the expense of the car not landing big jumps as well. I personally don't really think BB's are better, and we have been able to prove that they are magical (significantly faster) in any sense but there are some small advantages. I think people in general just think they need them....but we are working on our BB shocks and they will definitely be THE BEST!
that's right there ganna be the best, most bb shock cars(all) don't react like this car, they don't have the side bite and with the bb springs the bumps become nothing
