Hey OP I own both the Jl10e TC and Jl10e Drift, I actually think the drift would be a better for racing because of the weight distribution but I'm not positive purely from my observation of owning both kits.. All I can tell you is for the price they are excellent quality kits but I haven't raced them so I don't know how competitive they are.
