What I wanted to know is this rtr durable and is the reedy motor that comes with it decent or would I be better off just buying the hoped up version and not waste my time and money? I do plan on racing it but not no where as much as I do my 8th scale nitro to start off with. Any suggestions and advice would be much appreciated and thanks in advance.
I did the same exact thing. I didn't have a chunk of cash to spend all at once on a kit/electronic setup. Just wanted another class to run in. Used a coupon and it was $210 and easy pay made it $70 a month. The stock tires are going to be the first thing you want to replace. They are useless. I would find out if your track will allow you to run the 3300 in 13.5 or not. I will say though, I ended up buying a B4.1 Factory Team roller later with a ton of extra goodies for $75 and swapped over all the good parts. That was 6 months ago, and now I have replaced nearly everything that came with the RTR. If you have the money to buy a used one that is race ready, then go that route. But if not, Tower makes it very easy to get your feet wet.
