so, after changing the oil out and bleeding both front shocks, i discovered i had put the front bottom spring perch's on the rear shocks, and the rear spring bottom perch's on the front. i could have sworn i read somewhere that it was ok to do this in an AE instruction guide!!! i switched them back to how they should be and voila, problem solved! full extension on the rebound.
