What is the issue with using say AE hex wheels, if any?
ae 12mm hexes fit and work just fine with JConcepts hazards.

Go with the AE 12mm hex kit nice fit. I tried the Proline kit as it was the first to come out but it's sloppy as hell. I also saved the $20 or so on the locking hex kit from JConcepts and made my own. I just drilled the AE hexes centering on the flat part with (I forgot exact size) 3/32 or 7/64 drill bit and used 5-40 grub screws from my extra 32P pinions and it just threaded right on. You can also use 48P pinion grub screws but they are a bit smaller. Been using these hexes for about 4months now...works just as good as the shiny blue ones at fraction the cost.
