I'm toying with the idea of either giving him my kyosho and buying myself a new one, giving him my kyosho and getting myself a 22T, or trying to turn his truck into a ft.

I've tried up'ing the springs rates, thicker oil, more limiters, less steering EPA. Would simply putting some ft shocks and or ft arms front and rear take the looseness out of his truck?
If it's set up the same as the factory team version, it should handle the same. If it doesn't, there's something different about it. Maybe the differential? The ft shocks are simply easier to build and adjust, they don't perform any different. FT arms... are those the carbon ones? Pretty sure you won't see a difference in those either.
