If ever you reaaly want to go with the brushless I suggest get this one Novak Electronics Super Sport Brushless Motor System w/SS5800 motor..

Ups would be minimal maintenace not much on baby sitting as you like it.. No need for a lathe to fix the comm of the motor.. Its really a fast one and its a quiet motor less noise.. No brushess to replace nor check after every 3 runs in the tracks.. save much money on buying a lathe and brushes.. It already comes with the matched ESC.

Downs definitely its costs. its a bit expensive but for a long run you can consider all the cost..
