Yep, that's mutual! I raced pan cars for a long time and I always hated messing with taping batteries.
BTW, yesterday I took a dremel and cutout some of the material along the outer side of the battery tray on a spare chassis I have. I doubt it cuts more than 1/4 of an ounce. I just did it because I was bored. I'll probably never even use this chassis. See attached.
