Yes i read the manual before I start charging. The battery pack was really hot when i touch it. I think its the battery as-well. As far as the setting I had it on Auto and 3a. I think from now I will have it on Manual instead of Auto.

Just went to my LHS and pick up a new Hi Energy 7.2v 4500mah nimh. Charge it in Manual mode and everything seems to be good. Kinda suck when the Onyx pack was only a Month old and burn out...
