You will love having the field programmer! I have mine and I never leave the garage without it on an rc trip. Plus it works as a usb link so you can plug it into your computer and update and have more control over your esc. When I see someone who got a new castle esc at the track, but needs settings changed I change them for them. Mostly just switching lipo cutoff to different voltages, or off for nimh.
