Hmmm, switching from the stock tamiya connectors to the deans will lower resistance going thru the plug. But as far as taking a stick pack apart and making it into the side-by-side pack with bars, i doubt that you would see a performance gain. If you buy new cells, say two matched packs and put them together, then you will see a gain.
