No, as a consumer I'll turn my back on anyone that claims I should buy product X over product Y, just because said anyone claims (without base) that product Y is garbage.

For the record, I don't run off brand equipment either. But I rarely purchase kits, powertrains or other electronics via LHS. Not when I can purchase at a sizable discount through one of the well respected online retailers. I know what I want and don't need anyone telling me otherwise.
