No i agree... its all part of learning what does what and can make you a capable tuner. But there are people that will get so caught up with trying the 'in' thing, they never really focus on driving the 'damn' thing.
In offroad, track changes are usually so frequent within the day that pack placement and individual weight placement becomes something you think about on the car ride home. "I wonder if that would have made it better if..."
You have to be a seasoned racer that turns A LOT of laps to be able to look at the track and know if moving the pack around makes a positive difference for you. IMO, i like as much battery in the car as i can get. The heavier it is, the harder i can push it...
